Director of Patient Care Services - Robyn Colan, BSN, RN

It was early in Robyn’s nursing career that she found her passion in working with the elderly and end-of-life care. In 2014, Robyn received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Methodist College in Omaha, Nebraska.  Prior to obtaining her nursing degree, Robyn worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for 5 years in a memory care unit.  During her time working as a CNA, she developed her passion for hospice care. She often saw hospice teams come into the facility where she was working and loved the individualized care the clients received, as well as the genuine and caring attitudes of the hospice workers. While going to school and working as a CNA, Robyn found peace in knowing she was exactly where she was meant to be and knew she had found her purpose and passion to care for those at end-of-life. Robyn has experience in the hospice field providing direct care to clients as a Registered Nurse Case Manager as well as leadership experience through her role as a Patient Care Manager.  Prior to working in the hospice field, Robyn gained additional knowledge through employment as a Cardiac Nurse and a Home Health Care Nurse.

Director of Psychosocial Services - Erika Sayles, LCSW

Erika has been a social worker within the hospice field since 2010. Throughout her hospice career, Erika has been employed as a Medical Social Worker, Volunteer Coordinator, and Director of Psychosocial Services, as well as assisting with the Bereavement Program.  Erika found her passion for hospice in 1992 when her father died on hospice at home. She saw first-hand the importance of having emotional support and education in place for family members managing the daily cares of a loved one suffering from a terminal illness. Erika received her Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2010 from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, as well as her certificate in Gerontology. She is currently a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner, a Certified Master Social Worker and a Certified Grief and Loss Counselor.
